Amanda’s Approach to Therapy
At the heart therapy is a sacred, trusting relationship — one built on collaboration, compassion, and curiosity. Amanda JP Brown, LCSW, MACJ, offers trauma-informed therapy for individuals and couples who are ready to explore, heal, and grow.
Amanda believes that what’s happened to you matters, and so does the meaning you’ve made of your experiences. But you are more than your trauma, your challenges, or the ways you’ve learned to cope. Amanda meets each client exactly where they are, offering a nonjudgmental space rooted in dignity, respect, and deep listening — no matter what you’re carrying.
With over 18 years of experience, Amanda blends an inclusive, person-centered, and trauma-focused approach with her interdisciplinary education and training. She sees clients as whole human beings — not a diagnosis or a set of problems. Her work supports clients in exploring stuck patterns, reconnecting with internal wisdom, and shifting the narratives they hold about themselves and their lives.
Therapy with Amanda often includes conversation, reflection, and when appropriate, expressive arts and creative practices that help clients access healing beyond talk. These modalities are particularly powerful for clients ready to get out of their heads and into deeper awareness and integration.
One of Amanda’s greatest passions is helping clients cultivate self-acceptance and rewrite the inner narratives that may be holding them back. When you heal your relationship with yourself, everything else begins to shift — from how you connect with others to how you move through the world.
If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, Amanda is here to walk with you.
